Description
This is a factory reconditioned uprated radiator, for the small Covrad unit fitted on the Lotus elan late series 3, series 4, Elan sprint, +2 & +2s cars. Your old radiator is needed in exchange and the cost includes an £80 deposit which is refunded on the return to us of a an Elan radiator suitable for reconditioning.
A threaded boss and Lucas type thermostatically controlled switch is fitted to replace the troublesome otter switch.
The radiator has been christened the “fat boy” because it is fitted with a full, maximum depth core with an increased tube pitch to improve the cooling. this has been fitted to many vehicles and has alleviated the common overheating problems on this model.
A 9″ electric fan is usually fitted on welded brackets to the radiator to replace the very inefficient original fan
The radiator is delivered painted black but can be supplied with a polished brass top tank.
